Shanks Pony - rowdy folk rock band

St Patrick's Day Breakfast

St Patrick's Day Breakfast @ The Shed with Father Ted

What a great way to start off St. Patrick's Day - a hearty breakfast with a bit of comedy thrown in.  We arrived nice and early at The Shed to find the first band of the day, Shanks Pony, setting up to play.  There were already a few dedicated Shed patrons in attendance, determined not to let the early hour get in the way of enjoying a pint of Guinness.

....

After the show was over, we left the parallel universe of Father Ted to enjoy the rest of Shanks Pony outside in the sunshine, and were treated to a blistering set of rollicking sea shanties, old Aussie folk songs and a healthy dose of The Pogues.  These boys really know how to put on a show, and if you haven't seen them perform get along to a gig and kick up your heels.
